Anti-family planning groups attack Title X
05/14/2008 - Family planning in America must be preserved

Last week, conservative groups sent a letter to the White House urging the president to amend Title X to include language which calls for more stringent rules for how Title X funds are used. Petitions from their members were also submitted to the White House. While the regulations are still unknown, it's important that members of the administration are not influenced by the anti-family planning right.

Yesterday, Mary Jane Gallagher, NFPRHA's President and CEO, sent her own letter to Mike Leavitt, Secretary of Health and Human Services. You too can tell him that this attack on Title X cannot stand. Family planning must be preserved and protected from groups who are more concerned with a political agenda than with helping people act responsibly and to stay healthy. Visit our Policy Action Center to deliver a letter to him immediately and tell him to leave Title X alone.
