Stop the Bush Administration's Regulations The Bush Administration issued final regulations that create a "new right" for individuals and institutions to refuse to provide health care services, including basic health care services such as contraception, information, counseling and referrals, and threatens state laws put in place to protect patients. The new regulation will significantly impact low-income and uninsured women and men and will create new hurdles for family planning service providers
In a country where nearly 47 million people are uninsured, the outgoing Bush Administration should not be actively working to make health care even less accessible.
Please sign the petition now, and help us tell Washington's policymakers that you oppose these dangerous regulations.
I, join in opposition to the Bush Administration's dangerous and unnecessary regulations, and urge policymakers to take action to reverse them immediately.
These expansive, radical new rules are in conflict with the canons of medical ethics and accepted standards of health care. Under no circumstances should a health care provider be allowed to trample my rights or the rights of any person to seek health care.
With nearly 90 percent of Americans in support of federal funding for family planning services for low-income and uninsured women and men, we must protect the millions of people who receive these critical services.
Again, I join in opposition to the harmful HHS regulations and urge policymakers to take any action to reverse them and alleviate the harm that they will undoubtedly cause.
Sincerely,
